TRANQUIL ⢠LUMINOUS ⢠ROOTED
Stories from the studio, reflections on process, and the art of the handmade.
A Ritual of Care
Before the unveiling, thereâs one last story to tellâthe story of winter gift wrapping and the art of presentation. Each piece from Twelve Days: A Winter Collection is wrapped in the same spirit it was made: with care, patience, and reverence for detail.
Soft paper folds around the handmade books, ornaments, and pagekeepers. A ribbon ties everything together. And tucked inside each package, a small card bearing the word it representsâEcho, Frost, Kindle, Shimmer, Glisten, Pine, Ember, Drift, Glow, Snowfall, Gather, or Radiant.

Between Creation and Unveiling
Thereâs a stillness that follows the makingâa moment suspended between creation and unveiling. Wrapping belongs to that in-between space, where the work is complete yet still waiting to be seen.
The act itself feels meditative: folding paper, tying ribbon, slipping in the small word card that connects each piece back to its meaning. Itâs a rhythm of hands and heartâa final gesture that honors the process and prepares it for release.
This year, as the winter collection came together, I wanted the wrapping to hold as much meaning as the pieces themselves. The materials are soft and natural, chosen to reflect the calm and glow of the season.
The Art of Presentation
Across centuries and cultures, gift presentation has always been more than ornamentâitâs an act of reverence. In Japan, the tsutsumu tradition honors the spirit of wrapping as a form of gratitude; in Victorian times, paper and ribbon became a serene language of affection and grace. Whether through folded cloth, twine, or ribbon, the way something is enclosed becomes part of its meaning.
For me, wrapping each piece in this collection felt like the closing gesture of the creative processâa final touch that transforms an object into a gift. Itâs not just about protection or beauty, but about extending the story one layer further, allowing the recipient to pause before they see whatâs inside.

Wrapped in Winter Light
What began as words scattered across my workbench has become a collection of formsâhand bound books, ornaments, and pagekeepersâeach one carrying a story of its own.
Somewhere among the ribbons and folded paper, one small box keeps its secret a little longerâa small promise that not everything has been revealed just yet. đ¤Ť

Wrapped with Meaning
Twelve words, each translated into artâa book, an ornament, and a pagekeeperâall wrapped with care. The accompanying word cards and their message, printed on soft, heavy card stock, will also be available as a small stack: twelve words to keep, to frame, or to gift.
The seasonâs story has unfolded slowlyâlayer by layer, gesture by gesture. Each piece adds its own note of warmth and wonder, leading us softly toward what waits to be revealed.
