Looking back over decades of making, I've realized that one shape has quietly (and consistently) found its way into my work: the house. From early fiber art to handmade books, House Notes, and my sculptural House Forms, this essay reflects on the thread that has connected them all—and why I continue returning to this enduring symbol of memory, place, and the stories we carry.
