Almost two weeks are gone this month and lots is going on! For starters, there has been a little activity with my Crush series. I will update you all on what has transpired. I have also been working on a couple of other pieces that will be in an upcoming show with my MIX group. Before I tell you more about that here is the latest news for Crush....
This week we have a break from Working in a Series 1. Our next assignment is due in a week. During this pause I wanted to share with you another study that I completed this winter. It is posted in New Work as well as Small Works on my site.
I am a member of a local group of talented Fiber Artists. The name of our group is MIX. It is an acronym for "Material In the eXtreme. We meet once a month. During our meetings we decide collectivley what subject we want to render, how many pieces for a given theme, size and format, and any other specifics that is important for the final presentation that we work on individually but in coordination as a group. We also support one another as artists, critique work, as well as explore topics we are interested in pertaining to Fiber Art.

I am not one to set New Year’s resolutions but there is something I enjoy with a new beginning, or looking ahead at a new year with 365 blank pages to fill. For me, I love a clean slate, the chance to explore uncharted territories, start something new, and mix things up a bit. As I welcome in 2014, I begin by launching my new website.
