It is hard to believe June is almost over! I have been busy in my studio working on my series. I completed piecing my "Winter Piece" that I spoke about in my last post. All that is left is to apply the surface stitching and sew on the facing. This piece ended up measuring 40"x26".
I am anxious to see this piece complete because I know that the stitching will really transform the surface and add another dimension. To stay on task though, that will have to wait until later this fall as planned.
I love the summer months. Days are longer, schedules relax, lots of outdoor activity and fun in the sun. Living in the Pacific NW, we savor these months because the rest of the year is definitely seasonal with lots of rain and weather.
I am continuing along with my vineyard series. I have to admit, it has been a little stop and start lately with other activities in my life creeping in. Moving forward, I decided to change things up a little bit. My goal is to complete 4 works for my series by summer's end. To do that, I realized that I had to place my studio focus on specific goals.
