I created Window Dressing last summer. I think it would be safe to say that this piece is a follow up to Red Line. The inspiration for this piece was the same as Red Line. Here are a few images that inspired these works:
Like many places across the country we have gotten hammered with a winter storm these last few days. I have lived in Portland, Oregon since 1997 and I can count on one hand how many storms we have had like this last one. Pretty much everything comes to a standstill. Roads are treacherous so traveling anywhere, even a short distance, is not advised.
During the summer of 2013, Peter and I spent a week in Breckenridge, Colorado over the 4th of July. Breckenridge is known as a resort town during the winter months for skiing but it is also a great destination for a summer get away and play too. I was captivated by the beauty of this old mining, Colorado town and all it had to offer. The elevation was a little bit of a challenge to get use to when we first arrived. Hiking a short bit up the mountain we were well over 10,000 feet above sea level and my lungs were feeling it!
