A funny thing happened during the summer of 2016..... Peter and I were on our way to visit Lake Louise and Banff literally a "Hop, Skip, and a Jump" over the Canadian border. Little did we know what events would come from this trip. The Journey to our destination went through some of my all time favorite landscapes, Northern Idaho.
Growing up, this area holds some of my favorite childhood memories. My Grandmother and her twin brother,
Ross Hall called this area home. Ross Hall and his lovely wife, Hazel were my Great Uncle and Aunt. They were fondly known to me as "Uncle Ross and Aunt Hazel". Summers were all about sun and fun on the lakes and winters skiing in the fresh powder in the mountains. Those times were the best!
Fast forward to December 2017..... as I compose this post, my gaze shifts out the window of my office as snow flakes begin to fall, gaining momentum. The landscape will soon be blanketed with winter white as far as I can see. It will be a White Christmas just like it was years ago and it seems like it was just yesterday.
We now call this magical place HOME. This last summer and fall we were racing the temperatures to finish the landscaping, and setting fence posts on our property, knowing next spring and summer grass will be green, trees will spread their branches and flowers will bloom!
Yes, the last 18 months have been a whirlwind of dreams, plans, hardwork, construction, and lots of special people to
make it all a reality. All I can say is "never in my wildest dreams" did I know what started out as a vacation during the summer of 2016 would forever change our destiny. For Peter and I; To Emmanuel we give all the glory; for He is our blessed HOPE....... God with us.
My studio is up and running and lots is happening with fabric and stitch! I promise I will be back soon to let you preview what I am working on. In the mean time, I hope your holidays will be blessed filled with love, promise and hope.
See you on the other side of 2017!
